Message from the board
Inviting Your Involvement
Congratulations! Parenthood is a joyful and rewarding status. To be sure, there will be challenges in the years to come, but children bring a special joy into the life of any parent. Part of that joy comes from watching the development of your child year after year, from the first smile, to watching your child graduate from school.
School will be part, a big part, of your life and your child’s life. The type of school attended, public or Christian, will therefore have a major role in shaping the character and personality of your child.
The Board of Calvin Christian School, Dundas, invites you to become involved in the school. We ask you to attend membership meetings, participate in the annual Bazaar and/or Springfest, read the school newsletter, DCCS Outlook, volunteer for a committee or activity, and support the school financially through a membership. Perhaps you attended this school and already know a lot about the school. If you’re not a graduate of the school, then we invite you to visit and become acquainted.
Calvin Christian invites you to become involved at three levels: prayer, regular contact with or participation in the events of the school and, finally, as a contributor. We hope to be your partner when you select an education program for your child.In the years ahead, teach your child to have reverence for the Lord. You do this as you teach your child(ren) to pray, read Bible stories, sing Bible songs, and teach the concept of right or wrong. These things are also the basis on which Calvin Christian School is founded.
May you truly be blessed as you raise and nurture your child in the fear of the Lord.
